Belden has launched a new digital audio cable suitable for professional and commercial audio transmission
The new Belden Brilliance 1353A Cat5e cable is essentially a single-pair lead tested up to 100MHz.
It has a low capacitance and it provides excellent results when transmitting either digital or analogue audio signals.
"The 1353A is especially valuable where small size, low weight, and high performance are required," the company states.
It can be used anywhere an analog or digital shielded pair might be deployed and can cope with both rough handling and harsh environmental conditions – from temperatures as low as -20 degrees C up to 60 degrees C.
Belden claims the device offers contractors greater installation efficiency as they will no longer have to separate a four-pair cable into two to get a single Cat5e pair.
