Server Technology launches new power management solution - Modular Power Units

Network equipment manufacturer Server Technology has unveiled a new power distribution unit (PDU) and management solution.

The company's CS-18V mixed-outlet Cabinet PDU is designed to allow businesses to effectively monitor power consumption over their networks.

Server Technology's innovative user interface, which is accessed through a web browser, also allows the monitoring of temperature and humidity levels.

Meanwhile, the six local current monitors allow for onsite verification of power consumption levels.

"Each Smart CDU that Server Technology produces, including this mixed-outlet model, supports two external 10-foot probes used to monitor both temperature and humidity," the company said.

As well as featuring 18 power outlets, the device can be expanded with an extension Cabinet PDU.

In related news, Aipnet launched a new power-over-Ethernet (PoE) adapter last month, which allows users to connect both wired and wireless equipment to their network.

The EAP700 802.11b/g Wall Jack Access Point with PoE, has a stylish and simplistic design, according to Aipnet.ADNFCR-1186-ID-19245819-ADNFCR
