ATEN, a global manufacturer of KVM switches, has unveiled a new range of KVM solutions for the high-end market in India, IT Backbones reports.Included in the line-up is an LCD KVM switch which ATEN claims is the first in the world to offer fingerprint recognition technology for enhanced data centre security.
Also launched is a combo KVM switch, a two-console Cat 5 KVM switch and several over-IP solutions, as well as new HDMI video switches and video splitters.
ATEN hopes the new products will enable it to tap into the Indian networking market and meet growing demand for IP-based KVM.
"The IP-based solutions are the driving force for KVM industry and ATEN is committed on advancing Altusen over the net solutions in this direction," said the company's associate vice president Jerry Liu.
ATEN also added to its range of video products recently with the introduction of new two and four-port HDMI splitters.
