KVM switch provider Adder has announced the launch of its AdderLink X-DVI, according to reports.
The product is the first extender in the world which can send both USB and DVI signals over a single Cat6 cable.
It is ideal for use in the medical and broadcast industries and for drafting, animation and product design.
The AdderLink X-DVI will be able to support USB keyboard extension and mice and high definition vide over 165ft.
Nigel Dickens, CTO of Adder, said that up till now manufacturers have only offered two KVM extender and DVI solutions fibre optic or copper products.
He said: "The whole point with DVI is that there should be no compromise and that the video image is pixel perfect.
"The X-DVI offers a no compromise DVI solution at a low price, showcasing Adder's engineering expertise in a product that will be ideally suited for applications that require faultless digital video performance."
