IEC-Lock leads prevent loss of power - Computer Accessories IEC-lock has picked Comms Express as a distributor of its new lockable power leads.

The new IEC-lock lead allows users to securely connect power cables to any electrical device that uses an IEC mains-type cable.

IEC-Lock's design offers a patented locking mechanism the company claims is "beautifully simple".

Once the cable has been attached to an appliance the locking mechanism secures it in place, ensuring that the power supply cable does not work its way loose or become accidentally disconnected.

"An additional security feature is the tamper-evident seal that covers the release catch. This seal must be removed to access the release catch and so is also an instant indication that the IEC-lock has been interfered with," the company claims.

IEC Leads are available through Comms Express and are suitable for a variety of environments - not just the server room.

Most personal computers use C13 IEC leads, as do many monitors.
