A new range of SSG Series industrial grade UPS Plus models has been unveiled by Falcon Electric.
The uninterruptible power supply (UPS) Plus models are available from 1.5 to 3kVA, and have been designed with durability in mind - each variant is able to withstand temperatures of up to 55 degrees C.
"The SSG Series' ability to withstand extreme temperatures typically found in factory and industrial environments gives users more flexibility in deploying power protection devices for these applications," commented Michael Stout, vice president of engineering at Falcon Electric.
Mr Stout also singled out the ability of the SSG Series UPS to be either placed in an equipment rack or installed as a stand-alone tower on the manufacturing floor as a crucial design feature.
"This eliminates the need to shield the UPS from the environment. This point-to-point installation strategy saves users the time and effort required to configure and wire elaborate power distributionfor the various devices that need protection and dramatically lowers the cost of installing the UPSes," he said.
