Small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) are set to benefit from the availability of a new six-bay desktop network-attached storage solution, it has been claimed.
Netgear's ReadyNAS Pro Gigabit Desktop Storage systems have been developed with the needs of businesses with up to 200 users in mind.
Available in 1.5TB, 3TB and 6TB formats, the new storage devices are intended to meet the requirements of businesses that have "yearned for high performance", Sam Feng, director of product marketing for networked storage at Netgear, remarked.
"SMBs have unique storage needs and our powerful ReadyNAS Pro provides the essential combination of performance, flexibility, ease-of-use, versatile features, and, perhaps most important, value," he asserted.
The ReadyNas Pro products are capable of supporting up to six SATA II hard drives via its six lockable disk trays.
Earlier this month, Netgear announced the launch of the new ProSafe Wireless-N-VPN Firewall aimed at providing security solutions for small offices.
