Adder launches new KVM solution

Adder launches new KVM solutionKVM switch manufacturer Adder has launched a new KVM solution which it claims is the first extender in the world to send both USB and DVI signals over one CAT6 cable.

The AdderLink X-DVI is designed for use in industries where superior video resolutions are required, such as broadcast and medical. Graphic designers and animators will also benefit from the new solution.

Nigel Dickens, chief technical officer at Adder, explained that up until now manufacturers have only offered consumers two KVM solutions for extenders with DVI.

These either used fibre optic cables which were expensive, or used cheaper copper which compromised video quality.

"The X-DVI offers a no compromise DVI solution at a low price, showcasing Adder's engineering expertise in a product that will be ideally suited for applications that require faultless digital video performance," he remarked.

Earlier this year, connectivity solutions manufacturer ATEN International showcased the world'sfirst LCD KVM switch with fingerprint recognition.
